Ensure the lantern is properly assembled and filled with fuel. Turn the fuel valve on, then press and hold the electronic ignition button until the lantern lights up.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the electronic ignition is working by listening for a clicking sound. If there's no sound, replace the battery.
Regularly clean the globe and reflector to ensure maximum brightness. Also, check the mantle for wear and replace it if it's damaged.
Turn off the lantern and allow it to cool. Remove the globe and carefully detach the old mantle. Attach a new mantle by tying or clipping it in place, then burn it off before lighting.
Use clean Coleman Liquid Fuel or unleaded gasoline for optimal performance. Avoid using old or contaminated fuel.
Ensure the fuel is fresh and the fuel valve is fully open. Check the mantle for damage and ensure it's properly installed. Clean the generator if necessary.
Clean the lantern after every few uses or when you notice a decrease in performance. This includes wiping down the globe, checking the mantle, and cleaning the generator.
Empty the fuel tank and clean the lantern thoroughly. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Check the fuel level and ensure the mantle is intact. If the mantle is fine, clean the generator and check for any blockages in the fuel line.
A slight hissing sound is normal as it's indicative of fuel flow. If the sound is excessively loud, check for leaks or blockages and ensure the lantern is properly assembled.
