To ignite the stove, first ensure the propane bottle is securely attached. Turn the control knob to the "ignite" position and press the Instastart ignition button until the burner lights. Adjust the flame to your desired level.
If the burner won't light, check that the propane bottle is full and properly connected. Ensure the control knob is in the correct position. If the igniter isn't sparking, you may need to replace the battery or clean the igniter contacts.
After use, allow the stove to cool. Remove the grates and clean them with warm soapy water. Wipe the stove's surface with a damp cloth. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
The Coleman Instastart Hyperflame Propane 9966 Series Stove is designed to be used with standard 16.4 oz propane cylinders.
Uneven flame distribution can be caused by clogged burner ports. Turn off the stove and allow it to cool. Use a brush to clean the burner ports and ensure there is no debris blocking them.
Regular maintenance is recommended after every few uses. Check for gas leaks, clean burner ports, and inspect the regulator and connections. An annual thorough inspection is advised.
Always use the stove in a well-ventilated area. Keep flammable materials away from the stove. Do not leave the stove unattended while in use. Ensure the stove is on a stable, level surface.
The 9966 Series Stove features wind-blocking panels to help protect the flame, but in extremely windy conditions, it may be challenging to maintain a consistent flame. Use additional wind protection if necessary.
Ensure the stove is clean and dry before storing. Detach the propane cylinder and store it separately in a cool, dry place. Keep the stove in a protective case or bag to prevent dust accumulation.
A hissing noise indicates a possible gas leak. Turn off the stove immediately and check the connections between the propane cylinder and the stove. If the noise persists, do not use the stove, and consult the manual or contact customer support.
