Coleman Gas Barbecue 9943 Series Instruction Manual

Ensure the gas supply is connected and the control knob is in the OFF position. Open the lid, turn the gas on, and push the ignition button while turning the control knob to the HIGH position.
Check the gas supply and ensure it is turned on. Verify that the ignition electrode is clean and properly aligned. If necessary, use a match to light the grill manually.
Turn off the grill and disconnect the gas supply. Use a brush to clean the exterior of the burner tubes and a thin wire to clear any blockages inside.
Regularly clean the grates with a grill brush after each use. For a deeper clean, remove the grates and soak them in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry before placing them back on the grill.
Trim excess fat from meats before grilling and avoid cooking on excessively high heat. Keep the lid open to allow heat to escape and prevent flare-ups.
Clean the grill thoroughly, disconnect the propane tank, and cover the grill with a weather-resistant cover. Store it in a dry place away from direct exposure to the elements.
Check for obstructions in the burner tubes and ensure the burners are clean. Adjust the placement of the heat shields and ensure the grill is on a level surface.
Black smoke can occur due to excessive grease build-up or using incorrect fuel types. Clean the grill to remove grease and ensure only propane is used as fuel.
Use the control knob to adjust the flame size. Turning it towards HIGH increases the temperature, while turning it towards LOW decreases it.
Always grill outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby, never leave the grill unattended, and ensure the lid is open when lighting.
