To start the generator, first ensure that there is sufficient fuel and oil. Set the choke lever to the closed position, switch the engine switch to 'ON', and then pull the recoil starter handle gently until resistance is felt. Pull it briskly. Once started, move the choke lever to the open position.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 20 hours of operation, and then every 50 hours of use or annually, whichever comes first. Always use high-quality engine oil suitable for the current temperature conditions.
If the generator won't start, check that there is enough fuel and oil. Ensure the fuel valve is open and the choke is set correctly. Also, inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, and clean or replace it if necessary.
To maintain the air filter, remove the filter cover and take out the filter element. Clean it with soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Reinstall the filter element once it is completely dry. Replace the filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
The maximum continuous power output of the Clarke IG950C generator is 800 watts. Ensure not to exceed this limit to prevent overloading and potential damage to the generator.
For extended storage, empty the fuel tank and run the carburetor dry. Change the oil and clean the air filter. Store the generator in a cool, dry place, and cover it to protect against dust and moisture.
The Clarke IG950C generator is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
If the generator runs erratically, check for water or debris in the fuel system, clean or replace the fuel filter, and ensure the air filter is clean. Also, inspect the spark plug and replace it if necessary.
The Clarke IG950C generator operates at a noise level of approximately 58 dB at 7 meters, making it relatively quiet compared to other generators of similar output.
To check the oil level, ensure the generator is on a level surface and turn off the engine. Remove the oil dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, and then remove it again to check the oil level. Add oil if the level is low.
