To operate the PT550, ensure the handle is in the neutral position, insert the forks into the pallet, and then move the handle to the "lift" position to raise the pallet. To lower the pallet, move the handle to the "lower" position. Always ensure the load is stable before moving.
If the pallet truck does not lift, check the hydraulic oil level and top up if necessary. Inspect for any leaks in the hydraulic system. Ensure that the release valve is fully closed and check for any obstructions in the lifting mechanism.
Regularly check the hydraulic oil level and top up with the recommended oil type if necessary. Inspect the hydraulic pump and seals for signs of wear or leaks and replace any damaged components. Lubricate moving parts to ensure smooth operation.
The recommended hydraulic oil for the PT550 is ISO VG32 or an equivalent grade. Always refer to the manufacturer's specifications for the best performance.
Inspect the hydraulic seals, hoses, and connections for any visible signs of damage or wear. Tighten any loose fittings and replace damaged seals or hoses. Clean the area thoroughly to identify the source of leaks.
It is recommended to perform a general maintenance check every 6 months, including lubrication, checking the hydraulic system, and inspecting the wheels and forks for wear. Adjust the frequency based on usage intensity.
The Clarke 7630171 PT550 Hydraulic Pallet Truck Trolley has a maximum load capacity of 5500 lbs (2500 kg). Do not exceed this limit to ensure safety and prevent damage.
The forks on the PT550 are not adjustable in width. Ensure they are correctly aligned with the pallet openings and are fully inserted under the load before lifting.
Check for obstructions or debris around the wheels and bearings. Clean and lubricate the wheel bearings as needed. Inspect for any damage or wear and replace wheels if necessary.
To safely lower a heavy load, ensure the area is clear of obstructions and personnel. Move the handle slowly to the "lower" position, allowing the load to descend gradually. Maintain control of the handle at all times to prevent sudden drops.
