To change the blade, first ensure the saw is unplugged. Use the supplied wrench to loosen the arbor bolt and remove the blade guard. Carefully replace the blade, ensuring it is the correct size and type, and tighten the arbor bolt securely before replacing the guard.
Check if the saw is properly plugged in and the power switch is in the 'on' position. Inspect the power cord for damage. If the saw still does not start, inspect the fuse or circuit breaker in your power supply.
Make sure the workpiece is properly secured and the saw blade is sharp and appropriate for the material. Align the workpiece with the laser guide if available, and ensure the base and fence are set correctly for the desired angle.
Regularly clean the saw to remove dust and debris. Check the blade for wear and replace it as needed. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage, and lubricate moving parts according to the user manual.
Loosen the bevel lock handle at the rear of the saw, adjust the saw head to the desired angle using the bevel scale, and then tighten the bevel lock handle to secure it in place.
Blade binding can occur if the material is not properly secured or if the blade is dull. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely and check that the blade is sharp and suitable for the material being cut.
To replace the carbon brushes, first unplug the saw. Remove the brush caps located on the motor, take out the worn brushes, and insert new brushes. Replace the brush caps and ensure they are secured tightly.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Keep hands away from the blade and use a push stick if necessary. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit, and never operate the saw while tired or under the influence of substances.
The maximum cutting capacity is typically around 75mm (3 inches) for thickness and 150mm (6 inches) in width, but consult the user manual for specific details and limitations based on the material type.
To align the laser guide, ensure the saw is unplugged. Adjust the laser alignment screws located near the blade assembly until the laser line aligns exactly with the cut line. Test the alignment on a scrap piece of material.
