Ensure the compressor is on a level surface, check the oil level, connect the air hose, and turn the fuel valve to the 'on' position. Pull the starter cord gently until resistance is felt, then pull it briskly to start the engine.
Use SAE 30 non-detergent air compressor oil or a synthetic blend specifically designed for air compressors. Check the user manual for any specific brand recommendations.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 20 hours of use, and then every 100 hours of operation or every 3 months, whichever comes first.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Drain the tank to remove moisture, clean the exterior, and store it in a dry, dust-free environment. Disconnect the battery if applicable, and cover it to protect from dust and debris.
For most applications, a pressure setting between 90 and 110 PSI is sufficient. Always consult the tool's manual to ensure compatibility with the compressor's output.
Regularly drain the tank after each use to remove accumulated moisture. Consider using an inline air dryer or moisture filter to further reduce moisture entering the tank.
Unusual noises may be due to loose parts or fittings, worn bearings, or foreign objects in the compressor. Inspect and tighten all nuts and bolts, and ensure nothing is obstructing moving parts.
Turn the pressure regulator knob clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to decrease it. Make adjustments slowly while monitoring the pressure gauge to reach the desired setting.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect and tighten all fittings, and drain the tank of moisture. Periodically check the belts and hoses for wear, and replace them as needed.
