Clarke 2090900 CFP9ND Portable Petrol Air Instructions

To start the compressor, first ensure the fuel valve is open, the choke is set to 'closed' if the engine is cold, and the throttle is in the 'start' position. Then, pull the starter cord briskly until the engine starts, adjusting the choke to 'open' as the engine warms up.
Use SAE 10W-30 or SAE 15W-40 engine oil for the engine, and ensure it is of high quality. Regularly check and top up the oil to maintain optimal performance.
Check for any air leaks in the hoses and connections, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the valves are functioning properly. Also, inspect the pressure switch for any faults.
To drain the tank, make sure the compressor is turned off and depressurized. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the tank and allow any accumulated moisture to escape. Close the valve once the tank is empty.
Inspect the air filter every 50 hours of operation. Clean it by removing dust and debris, and replace it if it shows signs of excessive wear or damage.
Ensure that the fuel is fresh and the spark plug is clean and in good condition. Check that the choke and throttle settings are correct, and ensure the air filter is not clogged.
While the compressor can handle demanding tasks, it is not designed for continuous operation. Allow the compressor to rest periodically to prevent overheating and wear.
Regular maintenance includes checking and topping up engine oil, inspecting and cleaning the air filter, checking for air leaks, and ensuring all safety features are operational.
Store the compressor in a clean, dry location. Drain the tank, clean the exterior, and cover it to protect from dust and debris. Disconnect the battery if applicable to prevent discharge.
Check that the compressor is placed on a stable, level surface. Inspect the mounting bolts and all connections to ensure they are tight. Excessive vibration may also indicate a need for engine tuning.
