To set the time, pull the crown out to the second click. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Push the crown back to its normal position once the time is set.
Ensure the crown is always pushed in and screwed down tightly if applicable. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, and rinse it with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.
Check if the battery needs replacement. If the watch is solar-powered, ensure it is exposed to sufficient light. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, consult an authorized Citizen service center.
Pull the crown out to the first click. Turn the crown to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM to prevent damaging the mechanism. Push the crown back to its normal position when finished.
Citizen recommends having your watch serviced every 3 to 5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Use a soft toothbrush with mild soapy water to gently scrub the band. Rinse with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, consider professional servicing.
While it's possible to replace the battery yourself, it is recommended to have it done by a professional to ensure the water resistance is maintained and to avoid damaging the watch.
If the crystal is scratched, it is advisable to have it inspected and possibly replaced by an authorized Citizen service center to maintain the watch’s integrity.
Check the water resistance rating of your specific model. Generally, models with a 50m water resistance can handle light water exposure but not prolonged submersion. Higher ratings are needed for swimming.
Avoid exposing the leather strap to water, sweat, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Clean it gently with a damp cloth and condition it with a leather conditioner periodically.
