To load nails into the Bostitch RN90PLEX, ensure the tool is disconnected from the air supply. Open the magazine by pulling back the latch, insert the nail coil into the magazine, and ensure the nails are properly aligned. Close the magazine securely before reconnecting to the air supply.
First, disconnect the nailer from the air supply to ensure safety. Open the magazine and remove any jammed nails. Inspect the feed mechanism for any obstructions and clear them as needed. Reload the nails and test the tool on a scrap piece of wood.
It is recommended to apply a few drops of pneumatic tool oil in the air inlet before each use or after every 8 hours of operation to ensure smooth performance and longevity of the tool.
The recommended air pressure for the Bostitch RN90PLEX Nailer is between 70 and 120 PSI. Always consult the manual for specific guidelines and avoid exceeding the maximum pressure to prevent damage.
To adjust the depth of drive, locate the depth adjustment wheel typically near the trigger. Rotate the wheel to increase or decrease the nail depth. Always test the adjustment on scrap material before proceeding with your project.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the tool after each use, lubricating it with pneumatic tool oil, checking and replacing worn parts, and storing it in a dry place. Periodically inspect the air hose and fittings for leaks.
Double-firing can occur if the trigger is pulled too rapidly or if there's an issue with the trigger mechanism. To fix it, ensure you're using controlled trigger pulls and inspect the trigger for wear or damage. Replacing a faulty trigger may be necessary.
Air leaks can be caused by loose fittings, damaged O-rings or seals, and cracks in the housing. To resolve this, tighten any loose fittings, replace damaged O-rings, and repair or replace cracked components.
To prevent misfires, ensure the nailer is properly loaded with compatible nails, maintain adequate air pressure, and keep the tool clean and well-lubricated. Regularly check the condition of the driver blade and replace it if worn.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Disconnect the tool from the air supply when performing maintenance or clearing jams. Keep hands away from the nail discharge area and never point the tool at yourself or others.
