To load staples, first ensure the tool is disconnected from the air supply. Open the magazine by pulling back the pusher until it locks. Insert staples with the points facing down, then release the pusher to secure the staples in place.
Disconnect the tool from the air supply. Open the magazine and remove any jammed staples using needle-nose pliers. Check for any debris or damage before reloading staples and reconnecting to the air supply.
The Bostitch P50 pliers do not have a staple depth adjustment feature. Ensure you are using the correct staple length for your material to achieve the desired depth.
Regular maintenance includes lubricating the tool with a few drops of pneumatic tool oil before each use, checking for loose screws, and cleaning the magazine and driver blade to prevent jams.
Ensure the tool is connected to a sufficient air supply and the air pressure is within the recommended range. Check for any obstructions in the magazine and that the staples are properly loaded.
Disconnect the tool from the air supply, remove any remaining staples, and store it in a dry place. It's recommended to keep it in its original case or a toolbox to protect it from dust and damage.
Check all connections, including the hose and fittings, to ensure they are tight. Inspect the o-rings and seals for wear or damage and replace them if necessary.
The Bostitch P50 pliers are designed to use specific staple sizes. Refer to the user manual for the compatible staple sizes to avoid jams and ensure optimal performance.
Regular maintenance, proper storage, and using the correct size and type of staples will enhance the durability of your tool. Avoid dropping or exposing it to harsh conditions.
A certain level of noise is typical due to the pneumatic mechanism. However, if the noise seems excessive, check for loose parts or insufficient lubrication which could increase noise levels.
