The recommended air pressure range for operating the Bostitch N88RH Nailer is between 70 and 120 psi. Ensure your compressor is set within this range for optimal performance.
To clear a jam, disconnect the air supply and remove any remaining fasteners. Open the magazine and use pliers to carefully remove the jammed nail. Reassemble and reconnect the air supply once cleared.
The Bostitch N88RH Nailer is designed to use 16-degree wire weld collated framing nails ranging from 2 inches to 3-1/2 inches in length.
It is recommended to oil the Bostitch N88RH Nailer before each use, applying 2-6 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet to ensure smooth operation.
Check the air supply and ensure the air hose is properly connected. Verify the nailer is not jammed and the magazine is loaded with nails. Inspect the trigger and safety mechanisms for any obstructions or damage.
To adjust the depth of drive, use the depth adjustment wheel located near the trigger. Turn the wheel to increase or decrease the depth as needed for your specific application.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the tool after each use, lubricating moving parts with pneumatic oil, checking for loose screws, and inspecting the O-rings and seals for wear.
The Bostitch N88RH Nailer is primarily designed for framing applications. For finishing tasks, consider using a finish nailer that accepts smaller gauge nails for a more precise finish.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, and never point the nailer at yourself or others. Disconnect the air supply when not in use or while performing maintenance.
Store the nailer in a dry, cool place, ideally in its carrying case. Disconnect the air supply and remove nails from the magazine before storage. Regularly inspect and clean the tool to prevent rust and damage.
