To load nails into the Bostitch N66BC-1, first disconnect the air supply. Open the magazine by pulling back the magazine latch. Insert the nail strip into the magazine channel, ensuring the nails align with the guide. Close the magazine until it locks securely.
If the Bostitch N66BC-1 jams, disconnect the air supply first for safety. Open the magazine and remove any nails. Check the nosepiece for obstructions and clear them using a tool if necessary. Reassemble and test the nailer.
Adjust the depth of drive by rotating the depth adjustment wheel located near the trigger. Turn it clockwise to increase depth and counterclockwise to decrease it. Test on scrap material to ensure the desired depth.
Regularly clean the exterior and inspect for any damage. Lubricate the O-rings and moving parts with pneumatic tool oil before each use. Check the air filter for debris and replace if necessary.
To resolve air leaks, check all connections and ensure they are tight. Inspect the O-rings and seals for wear or damage and replace as needed. Apply thread sealant to any leaking fittings.
Always wear safety goggles and ear protection. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders. Never point the nailer at yourself or others, and disconnect the air supply before performing maintenance.
Double firing can be minimized by ensuring proper trigger control. Press the nailer firmly against the work surface before squeezing the trigger. If the issue persists, check the trigger mechanism for wear.
Check the air pressure; it should be between 70-120 psi. Ensure the correct nail size is used, and the depth adjustment is set properly. Inspect for any obstructions in the nosepiece.
To replace the driver blade, disconnect the air supply. Remove the cap screws and the cap. Extract the cylinder assembly, and then the driver blade. Insert the new driver blade and reassemble the nailer.
The Bostitch N66BC-1 is compatible with 15-degree wire collated coil nails ranging from 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" in length. Ensure you use the correct nail size for your specific application.
