To load nails into the Bostitch N16 Nailer, first ensure the tool is disconnected from the air supply. Open the magazine by pulling back the magazine latch. Insert a strip of nails into the magazine with the points facing downwards. Close the magazine until it clicks securely.
If the Bostitch N16 Nailer is not firing, check that the air pressure is set between 70-120 psi. Ensure the air hose is securely connected. Also, inspect the nailer for jammed nails and clear them if present.
Disconnect the nailer from the air supply. Open the magazine and remove any loose nails. Use needle-nose pliers to extract the jammed nail. Once cleared, reload the nails and close the magazine securely.
Regularly clean the nailer's feed system and magazine to prevent debris buildup. Lubricate the O-rings with pneumatic tool oil before each use. Check and tighten any loose screws or bolts.
The Bostitch N16 Nailer does not have a depth adjustment feature. Control the depth of drive by adjusting the air pressure supplied to the tool, staying within the recommended 70-120 psi range.
The Bostitch N16 Nailer accepts 16-gauge finish nails ranging from 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches in length. Ensure the nails are straight and free of corrosion for optimal performance.
Double-firing can occur if the trigger is pulled too quickly or if the air pressure is too high. Slow down the trigger operation and adjust the air pressure within the recommended range.
Check the connections between the air hose and the nailer for tightness. Inspect the O-rings and seals for wear or damage and replace them if necessary. Regular lubrication can also help maintain seal integrity.
Always wear safety glasses and hearing protection. Disconnect the nailer from the air supply before making adjustments or clearing jams. Never point the nailer at yourself or others, and keep your hands clear of the nailing area.
Regular maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection for wear, will increase the lifespan of your nailer. Store the tool in a dry place and avoid dropping or mishandling it to prevent damage.
