The Bostitch N100S Nailer requires an air compressor that can deliver at least 70-120 psi to operate efficiently. Ensure the compressor has sufficient capacity to maintain consistent pressure during use.
First, disconnect the air supply. Open the nose of the nailer to access the jammed nail. Remove the obstruction carefully with pliers or a similar tool. Reconnect the air supply and test for proper operation.
Regular maintenance includes lubricating the nailer with pneumatic tool oil, checking for worn or damaged parts, and ensuring that all screws and bolts are properly tightened. Clean the air filter regularly and inspect the O-rings for wear.
Check if the air pressure is adequate and the air hose is properly connected. Ensure that the nails are the correct size and properly loaded. Inspect the trigger and safety mechanisms for any malfunctions.
The Bostitch N100S Nailer is designed to work with specific nail types and sizes. Refer to the user manual for compatible nails to ensure optimal performance and avoid damage to the tool.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders. Keep fingers away from the trigger when not in use, and disconnect the air supply when performing maintenance.
The depth of drive can be adjusted by turning the depth adjustment wheel located near the trigger. Rotate the wheel clockwise for deeper penetration and counterclockwise for shallower penetration.
Inspect all seals and O-rings for damage or wear. Replace any damaged parts. Ensure all connections are tight and check the air hose for leaks or damage.
Double firing can be prevented by maintaining a firm grip and ensuring correct trigger technique. Check the trigger mechanism for wear and replace any worn components.
Before storage, disconnect the air supply and remove any remaining nails. Clean the tool and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust. Store in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight.
