To load staples, ensure the stapler is disconnected from the air supply. Pull back the magazine latch, insert the staples into the magazine, and slide the magazine back until it locks in place.
Disconnect the stapler from the air supply, open the magazine, and remove any jammed staples. Check for obstructions in the driver channel, remove them, and reload the staples.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 5,000 staples or as needed. This includes cleaning the feed system, checking for wear, and lubricating moving parts.
Use a pneumatic tool oil specifically designed for air tools. Apply a few drops into the air inlet before each use to ensure proper lubrication.
This could be due to insufficient air pressure, a jam, or worn parts. Check the air pressure, clear any jams, and inspect parts like the driver blade for wear and replace if necessary.
The Bostitch 850S4 is designed for specific staple sizes. Refer to the manual for compatible staple specifications to ensure proper functioning.
Always wear safety goggles, ensure the work surface is stable, keep hands clear of the stapling area, and disconnect the air supply before performing maintenance.
Adjust the depth of drive by using the depth adjustment knob. Rotate it to increase or decrease the penetration of the staple into the material.
Check for worn or damaged seals and O-rings. Replace them as necessary. Also, ensure that all connections are tight and secure to prevent air leaks.
Disconnect the air supply, remove any remaining staples, and store the stapler in a cool, dry place. Keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent damage to plastic and rubber components.
