To adjust the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the fridge compartment. Use the temperature control dial to set your desired temperature for both the fridge and freezer sections.
First, ensure that the appliance is plugged in and the power is on. Check if the door seals are intact and not allowing warm air in. Additionally, verify that the temperature settings are correctly configured and the condenser coils are clean.
The Beko CFG1790DS is equipped with a frost-free system, so manual defrosting is not necessary. However, if you notice ice build-up, ensure that the door is closing properly and the seals are intact.
Unplug the appliance before cleaning. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean the interior and exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Ensure all surfaces are dry before plugging the appliance back in.
To change the light bulb, first unplug the fridge. Locate the light cover inside the fridge compartment, typically at the top. Remove the cover and replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the fridge back in.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clean the drain hole located at the back of the fridge compartment. Ensure that no food items are obstructing the drain hole.
Some noise is normal, but if it's excessive, ensure the appliance is level and not touching the wall or other objects. Check for loose parts or items inside that might be vibrating.
To reverse the doors, consult the user manual for detailed instructions. Generally, you'll need to remove the hinge covers and screws, reposition the hinges on the opposite side, and reattach the doors.
After installation, wait at least 4 hours before plugging in the appliance to allow the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, wait another 24 hours for the appliance to reach optimal cooling temperatures.
During a power outage, avoid opening the fridge to maintain the temperature. The appliance can keep food cold for several hours if unopened. Once power is restored, check the food for any signs of spoilage.
