Ensure the refrigerator is placed on a flat surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Allow at least 5 cm of space around the refrigerator for proper ventilation. Connect the appliance to a grounded electrical outlet.
Check if the door is sealing properly and that the thermostat is set correctly. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the refrigerator and that the condenser coils are clean.
Manual defrosting is required when the frost layer reaches around 5 mm. Typically, this should be done every few months to maintain optimal performance.
Unplug the appliance and remove all food items. Use a solution of mild detergent and warm water to wipe down the interior, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Unplug the appliance. Remove the light cover by unscrewing it or snapping it off, depending on the model. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Check if the refrigerator is level and that it’s not touching any walls or cabinets. Ensure that items inside are not vibrating against each other. Some operational noises are normal, such as those related to the compressor or defrost cycle.
Locate the temperature control dial inside the refrigerator. Turning it towards the higher number will make the interior colder. Adjust as needed based on the ambient temperature and the amount of food stored.
Regularly clean the condenser coils, check and clean the door seals, and defrost the freezer as needed. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage periodically.
Do not overcrowd the shelves to allow proper air circulation. Store raw meat on the bottom shelf to prevent contamination. Use airtight containers to preserve freshness and prevent odors.
Check for obstructions on the shelves or door seals. Clean the door seals with warm soapy water and ensure they are intact without any damage. Adjust the leveling feet if the refrigerator is not balanced.
