To defrost your Beko BCSD173, first unplug the appliance. Remove all contents and leave the door open to allow the ice to melt naturally. Place towels around the base to catch melting water. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in.
Check that the refrigerator is plugged in and the thermostat is set to the correct temperature. Ensure that the door seals are clean and sealing properly. Avoid overloading the refrigerator, and ensure there is enough space for air circulation. If issues persist, contact Beko support.
Unplug the appliance and locate the light cover inside the refrigerator. Remove the cover by gently pulling it down or unscrewing it. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Water pooling can be caused by a blocked defrost drain. Check the drain hole at the back of the refrigerator and clear any blockages with a pipe cleaner or warm water. Ensure that the refrigerator is level to allow proper drainage.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every 6 months to maintain optimal performance. Ensure the refrigerator is unplugged before cleaning. Use a vacuum or brush to remove dust and debris from the coils.
Store raw meat on the bottom shelf to prevent drips onto other foods. Keep dairy products on the middle shelves and fruits and vegetables in the crisper drawers. Use the door shelves for condiments and beverages. This ensures efficient cooling and prevents cross-contamination.
Locate the thermostat dial inside the refrigerator. Turn the dial to adjust the temperature, with a higher number for colder settings. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after adjustment. Refer to the manual for specific temperature recommendations.
Unusual noises can be caused by the refrigerator not being level, items inside vibrating, or the compressor cycling. Ensure the refrigerator is on a stable surface and check for loose items. If the noise persists, contact Beko service for further assistance.
Keep the refrigerator in a cool environment away from heat sources. Ensure the door seals are intact and not allowing air leaks. Avoid overfilling the refrigerator, which can restrict air flow. Regularly clean the condenser coils to ensure efficient operation.
Frost buildup can occur if the freezer door is not sealing properly or is opened frequently. Check the door seals for damage and ensure they close tightly. Avoid placing hot items directly into the freezer. Defrost the freezer if the frost layer is more than 1/4 inch thick.
