Acura TL 2009 Owner's Manual

For the 2009 Acura TL, it is recommended to use 5W-20 viscosity grade oil that meets the API certification SN or SM.
To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition to the 'ON' position, press the 'Trip' button until the oil life is displayed, then hold the 'Trip' button for 10 seconds until the oil life begins to blink. Release and hold the button again for another 5 seconds to reset.
The recommended tire pressure for the 2009 Acura TL is 33 PSI for both the front and rear tires.
To pair your phone, enable Bluetooth on your phone, press the 'Phone' button on the steering wheel, and follow the voice prompts to connect and add a new device. Enter the passcode provided by the vehicle if required.
Check for any lights or electronics left on, ensure battery terminals are clean and tight, and have the battery and alternator tested for proper function.
First, ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and secure the parking brake. Loosen the lug nuts slightly, jack up the vehicle, remove the lug nuts and the flat tire, place the spare tire on the hub, tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the vehicle, and then fully tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern.
With the engine warmed up and idling, park on a level surface, remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it fully, and then remove it again to check the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick.
Overheating can be caused by low coolant levels, a malfunctioning thermostat, or a failing radiator fan. Check the coolant level and top it off if necessary, and inspect the radiator fan and thermostat for proper operation.
The timing belt should be replaced every 60,000 to 90,000 miles or as specified in your owner's manual, whichever comes first.
Common issues include transmission problems, navigation system failures, and power steering hose leaks. Regular maintenance and software updates can prevent some issues, while others may require inspection and repair by a professional mechanic.
